Ghana’s first choice goalkeeper, Joseph Wollacott has suffered a freak injury while training with the Black Stars ahead of their Afcon 2023 qualifier against Angola.
The Charlton Athletic goalkeeper sustained the injury when the goalpost fell on him.
He required assistance to get back to his feet but eventually limped off the pitch.
Wollacot missed the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and was out for a significant period after he injured his finger.
The severity of his current injury is unknown as he will have a scan to ascertain the full details.
Ghana’s Black Stars will play Angola on Thursday 23rd March at the Baba Yara Stadium in the first leg before heading to Luanda for the second leg slated for March 27th.
