Richarlison, in an interview with ESPNBrasil about his non-call-up for the Brazilian team:

“I was sad not to be on the list, but I understand Diniz. If I were him, I wouldn’t be called up either. I haven’t been playing good football. I think I owe money. Of course I’ve improved in the last few games, but even so, there’s still a long way to go before I wear the national team’s shirt.

It has to be okay, be at my 100% and I’m not at my 100%.So, the coach made the right choice and the boys (Endrick and João Paulo) are flying. It’s up to me to work, I’ll definitely come back because I didn’t get here for nothing. I didn’t make the team for nothing.”
