Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has been advised to be watchful of his utterances.
He has also been advised to be respectful to all manner of people and ensure that he regards chiefs in the kingdom.
“Today we will hear Wontumi has done this and that. Wontumi has said this and that. It does not speak well of you. Whatever you do, people are watching, and you must keep a good name for yourself.
Regardless of what you do, when you leave, you will certainly come back here. In the Ashanti Kingdom, you can’t just make utterances and go scot-free. No, that does not happen here,” Bantamahene said while counselling the regional chairman.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, known fondly as Chairman Wontumi, appeared before the Kumasi Traditional Council.
This was after he failed to appear before the council last week because of claims that he was ill.
Wontumi was summoned over some unsavoury words he used against Otumfuo Osei Tutu during the parliamentary vetting of the political party.
