The Australia-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry will have its second launch in Sydney early this year after a successful launch in December 2023 in Ghana.

The Australia-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AGCCI) was successfully launched in December at the High Commission, following which the Australian High Commissioner held discussions with the Chamber’s President, Bishop Richard Asamoah, and Country Director, Jon Attakora. AGCCI is a bilateral chamber and support organization committed to enabling trade and investment between the Republic of Ghana and the Commonwealth of Australia.

AGCCI is dedicated to providing professional, in-demand business and international trade advice, along with top-notch support services to its members, to help them grow their interests. The organization works towards building stronger networks with the respective governments and their agencies to promote its members’ businesses. Discussions during the meeting centred around the next steps, including the membership of the board, and it was announced that there will be a second launch in Sydney early this year.

The overall goal of the AGCCI is to sustain a stable security environment and a regional order rooted in economic development and respect for universal rights and freedoms. As Ghanaian businesses operating in Australia, it is important to recognize that Australia is responsible for more than half of the global trade and economic output, driving the world’s economy. As markets shift and demand changes, business opportunities arise, and the AGCCI seeks to facilitate these opportunities for its members.

Over the past few decades, few Ghanaians worldwide have had access to as many opportunities as they do in Australia. This is due to the changing numbers and the shift in market demands, which have increased business opportunities. While Ghanaian products have been introduced to Australians, there is still much to learn from them, especially in the art of making a good cup of “joe.”

In conclusion, the AGCCI is playing a vital role in fostering the relationship between Ghana and Australia and creating a platform to facilitate trade and investments between the two countries. For more information visit www.agcci.org.au/
