Rose Amoanimaa Succeeded in defending her title won at the 2019 African games.

Ghana’s high jump sensation, Rose Amoanima Yeboah, once again etched her name into the annals of African athletics history by successfully defending her gold medal from the 2019 edition, emerging as the heroine for her nation at the 2023 African Games.
In a spectacular display of talent and determination, Yeboah soared to victory in the women’s high jump event held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the 2023 African Games.
With impeccable skill, she cleared a height of 1.87m, edging out her competitors and securing the coveted gold medal.

Despite attempting to surpass her own record with a jump of 1.90m, Yeboah fell short of the challenge.
Nevertheless, she was met with thunderous applause and jubilation at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium as she jogged across the field, proudly hoisting the Ghana flag after clinching the top prize in the event.
As Ghana’s reigning high jump champion and record holder with an impressive height of 1.94m, Yeboah’s victory marks her as a back-to-back gold medalist, solidifying her status as a national heroine in athletics.
