Nkawkaw: TUC demands an in-depth investigation into a female assault

The Exchanges Association Congress (TUC) has required a careful test into the actual attack of a female worker by a supervisor at a Reserve funds and Credits organization in Nkawkaw, in the Eastern locale. This comes in the wake of a viral video showing a female employee being physically abused by a coworker in an office. Ayivor Elikplim was taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service on June 25 and arraigned on June 26. The Nkawkaw Area Court conceded condemning to Tuesday, July 2, 2024. In a statement dated Friday, June 28, the TUC expressed its condemnation of the attack and called for the victim to receive swift justice and a thorough investigation. According to the Union, the act goes against ILO Convention 190, which aims to eliminate workplace violence and harassment, as well as fundamental principles of respect, dignity, and workplace safety.
