The Rt. Hon Speaker, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has graced the Kuntunkuni Durbar to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Sargrenti War at Dwabrem Manhyia.
Speaker Bagbin and his wife Madam Alice Adjur Yornas, honoured an invitation, as a special guest of the occasion, extended to him by His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll.
The festival, which reminisced the looting of objects and royal treasures during the Anglo-Asante War in 1874, also marks the Silver Jubilee of Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll, as the Asantehene.
The all-black adorned durbar witnessed a retinue of Chiefs and Queenmothers from the Asante Kingdom, in palanquins and regnant processions amidst dancing and drumming signifying the heroism, rich culture, and untold history of significance to the Asante Kingdom.
