The Western Nzema Youth League has commended the Ghana Armed Forces and other security agencies for the professional manner in which they handled emergency landing of a military helicopter in Bonsukrom.
According to the Ghana Armed Forces, the helicopter which had on board 21 passengers made up of staff of the Ghana National Gas Company and aircrew were conducting routine offshore powerline inspection of the Atuabo gas plant when the incident occurred.
In a release issued by Dr Patrick Ekye Kwesie, the Western Nzema Youth League said, “We will like to thank the Ghana Army, the Police Service, the Ghana Ambulance Service and the Fire Service for their swift intervention to save lives and properties. In as much as we have our difference as an advocacy group fighting for the cause of Nzema, we seem it morally right to solidarize with you in the spirit of patriotism and nation building.”
