Head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team-the Black Stars- Otto Addo, has indicated that it will take a lot of work to get the Black Stars back to the top.
He did this in a post game interview after Ghana drew 2-2 with Uganda in an international friendly game in Morocco. Ghana lost 2-1 to Nigeria in a prior friendly game.
Ghana got goals from Jerome Opoku and Jordan Ayew but missed out on holding on to the lead twice with Kotoko’s Mukwala scoring in the game.
Addo’s appointment earlier this month as Black Stars head coach had him tasked with rebuilding the team that crashed out of the AFCON preliminary stage in back to back editions.
Touching on this in connection to the Black Stars game against Uganda, Addo said the turnaround was going to take time.
“Finishing must be better under pressure. It’s a lot of work, it’s a lot of work but I have to say this is what I expected because…we were not good even before I came so it’s a process.”

Addo made five changes to the starting unit that played against Nigeria with Ebenezer Annan and Mohammed Abu featuring as starters against Uganda.
Alidu Seidu and Mohammed Salisu were sent off in the final minutes of the game.
