Walewale: NPP youth keep vigil at police headquarters to safeguard polling form

 

A gathering of youth partnered with the New Enthusiastic Party (NPP) kept vigil at the Walewale Police headquarters on Wednesday in order to safeguard polling stations containing votes from the body electorate’s essential hung on January 27, 2024.
The occupant Individual from Parliament for Walewale, Lariba Zuweira Abudu, was crushed in the essential by 35-year-old Dr Mahama Tia Kabiru.
Dr. Kabiru surveyed 345 votes to beat Hajia Zuweira who surveyed 338 votes.
Disappointed with the result, Hajia Zuweira tested the pronounced outcomes at the High Court in Tamale.

The alleged watchful youth claimed that the NPP’s North East Territorial Administrator and Hajia Zuweira were conspiring to move the voting booths from the police headquarters without the appropriate designs.
The High Court in Tamale on Monday, June 24, gave an order against Dr Mahama Tia Kabiru, banishing him from introducing himself as the chosen NPP parliamentary possibility for the Walewale.
