Southampton Football Club head coach Reuben Selles has praised the efforts of Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu in the team’s final game before the international break.
He said this after Southampton’s 3-3 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last Saturday.
Salisu was introduced in the eighth minute as a replacement for Armel Bella-Kotchap who got injured and featured heavily in Southampton’s fight back froma 1-3 deficit to draw even.
Selles praised Salisu and fellow substitute Ainsley Maitland-Niles who replaced Jan Bednarek after the latter suffered an injury and had to leave the game in the 34th minute.
“We brought Mohammed Salisu in, who was fantastic and has been playing for this club for the last three or four years, and we brought Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who was a little bit different. I think they did a fantastic job.”
